The GAC Design Award orchestrated by GAC R&D Center, represents a significant milestone in the realm of automotive design. Inaugurated in 2017, the GAC Design Award has been a platform for the creativity and individualism of young design talents for seven consecutive years and has received positive responses and participation from university students at home and abroad. Renowned for its commitment to developing young designers, the award has played a pivotal role in enhancing their skills through practical engagement, consistently uncovering and fostering a wealth of talent and thereby cementing its status as a key influencer in the automotive design community.

In 2024, the award commenced on April 16st in Milan, Italy, release the topic “BEAUTY OF TOMORROW”，also introducing three international competition zones: Asia, Europe, and North America. This strategic expansion serves to attract a diverse array of students from different nations, offering an international stage for students from various nations to showcase their talents. The competition encourages a dynamic exchange of ideas and inspirations among young designers from varied cultural backgrounds, fostering the emergence of innovative and creative automotive designs.

The comprehensive curriculum of the GAC Design Award spans a wide array of disciplines, including exterior and interior styling, CMF, CAS, and branding strategies and so on. This broad spectrum of training has garnered enthusiastic participation from students of over a hundred renowned automotive design institutions worldwide, including institutions like the Royal College of Art, Pforzheim University, College for Creative Studies, Tsinghua University, and Tongji University. The event has been a breeding ground for forward-thinking automotive design concepts, simultaneously contributing fresh talent to GAC's design ecosystem.
